Objective
HEAL PA and Resilient PA were seeking to develop impactful content that would bring trauma awareness to the communities of Pennsylvania.
Our Process
Developed programs to educate professionals and support the community
Analyze & Research
The team at Collectively Rooted met with leaders from the state of Pennsylvania and determined their needs. They wanted to offer high quality training to the professionals in their community AND provide an offering to the community at large to increase trauma awareness.
Advise & Recommend
We came up with a plan to create a 4 module training program for professionals featuring some of our experts. In conjunction with this, we developed a plan to offer free monthly one hour sessions featuring a variety of experts on panels discussing topics that are relevant to members of the community.
Support & Deliver
For professionals
Gathered experts, developed and recorded a four-part series titled Building Trauma Aware communities
Distributed the program to community members in the State of PA
For everyone
We collaborated with a variety of experts in the field of mental health to develop a free monthly offering called The Lunch Hour, where we showcased one hour discussions on topics relevant to the community
This program was offered via Zoom to ensure accessibility. It was recorded to provide flexibility and the ability to view later through Resilient PA’s website

The Lunch Hour series
Each month, members of HEAL PA Action Teams were joined by an ensemble of renowned thinkers, authors, and presenters who work in the field of trauma recovery. The live, one- hour conversations focused on issues deeply relevant to Pennsylvania residents and provided space to reflect on, identify, and address mental health in the lives of individuals and communities.
Collaborating with Collectively Rooted helped our entire team in the Pennsylvania Governor’s Office of Advocacy and Reform actualize our mission and bring trauma awareness and healing to our communities. Our partnership with Collectively Rooted has provided Pennsylvanians with free access to trauma training, healing conversations with leading experts in the mental health community, and an invitation to join us in our mission to HEAL PA.
